Graduate of the École Supérieure d’Electricité. After serving as Chairman in 1981 of the National Confederation of Junior Companies, he began his career by creating a media company, AG Euromedia. From 1983 to 1989, he was a consultant and then a director of studies at Arthur Andersen (which later became Accenture) in the industry media-press and services sectors. He joined Bain & Co. strategy consultants, where he became a Senior Partner in 1999 responsible for Telecom, Technologies and Media in Europe and a member of the International Board of Directors, with major industrial groups and the largest investors in Europe as clients. He acquired direct investment experience with the Atlas Venture fund, where he was Senior Partner and manager of their Paris offi ce from 2000 to 2003. He joined Wendel in 2003 and was appointed a member of the Executive Board in 2005
